Intense lighting introduces V-Rail, a solid state luminaire designed to illuminate stairways, ramps and paths of egress that also performs as a handrail or guardrail. Capable of delivering high levels of uniform light at an excess of 10-foot candles on the path, V-Rail exceeds light levels as required by safety codes such as ANSI and NFPA. The solid-state 24V light source is integral to the rail assembly and offers 50,000 hours of life at 70% lumen maintenance. Offering strength, durability and longevity, V-Rail is available in 6005-T5 aluminum or 304 stainless steel construction. For severe or corrosive environments, 316 stainless steel is available, extended lead times apply.
Optical System
A unique patent-pending reflector system allows for symmetric or asymmetric light distributions. The internal reflector is constructed of a high-performance patented material with 99% reflectivity. Reflector distributions are pre-set at the factory to the precise angle for delivering uniform, quality light on the required task. The optical system is protected by a high-impact acrylic lens with a perimeter silicon gasket seal that is secured by counter-sunk stainless steel tamper-proof screws. The V-Rail optical system achieves full cut-off and is IDA-Approved™.
The V-Rail optical system includes a unique reflector that allows for precise symmetrical and asymmetrical light distribution. Factory preset distributions include 60° symmetric, 20° symmetric and 30° asymmetric. Providing the ultimate in flexibility, the V-Rail reflector can be adjusted allowing for precision aiming.

Materials
6005-T5 aluminum with powder TGIC polyester with prime coat. Standard powder coat finishes include white, black, bronze, or silver. Custom RAL finishes available upon request. Brushed satin nickel aluminum available by special order.
304 stainless steel with No. 4 brushed satin finish
